Hi guys. THis is NOT a sell ad. I posted my ad in For Sale forum. I just need an advice.
I have a 97 Eddie Bauer with 112K. I think the car is pretty solid. The rear end is a little misshaped - i guess there was a minor accident a while ago, someone slightly rear ended the truck. It's green with tan. Located in brooklyn.
What do you think is a fair price for this truck? I'm asking $5500, the only offer i got so far was 4Gs.
One other thing. Both inside rear door handles a broken. Does it pay to fix them before i sell it?

Thanks a lot.

I personally wouldnt spend to much on a car if it had broken handles. But have you checked if you have the child safty locks on the rear doors? My Mountaineer has two small black levers on the back doors that disable the inside handles. There is a small instruction label on the door as well. They are on the backs of the doors, same area you find your front door info on.

It's not likely it's the child safety lock, but the plastic tab has broken off of the inside of the door panel. The doors still open from the outside, but the inside handle is broken where it conects to the rod. They are about $20 from Ford, and can be installed in about an hour, very easily. I have had 4 of them break on my last Ex, and the ones in my Mounty don't feel like they have much life left in them.
