Im thinking this is a replace all the sensors and ECM or PCM issue.
All of a sudden, it's running at the top of the coolant temp range, pings under a load, idles at 1200-1300, and shudders horribly on startup.

It had done the shuddering thing in the past but it was intermittent.
None of the sensors have been changed and are all oem. It has 184k miles, so I think it time.

I figure I should get some engine code from the control module but it remains silent on the issue. NO CODES.

SO, gonna spray some WD on the o2 sensor, jump in another car and hit the parts store.

Thanks
Robert

Okay, so it turns out that the sensors are all fine but the pump drive gear near the cam sensor is completely worn out and it needs a new DPVM.
The long and short of it is about $550 out the door. plus it cures a squeal I've been chasin for 7 years. If yer in Central Oregon, Skip at affordable Auto is who you want to see. He came recommended and now I am doing the same.
