2021 Ford Explorer XLT
Hi. I had a 2016 XLT EB and loved it. Thought I’d like the new 21 as well, but it’s honestly kinda heavy and sluggish. Not as quick as the old one.

Anyways, I have a 2021 XLT Ecoboost. I’ve had this car since April of 2021 and it’s been doing it this whole time. When I go 76mph-82mph and give some gas, it makes this REALLY annoying noise, and it’s extremely loud. Sounds like a loud beep that’s fluctuating if you could visualize that haha. But only when gas is being applied, it’s weird. Once I go past 82 or under 76, it goes away. Any help with that?

Not only that. But when I stop and go, or sometimes simply slow down, the 10spd shifts real harshly. Like the whole car shakes when it down shifts or up shifts. Super strange.

Let me know if this happens to any of you guys and what the fix could be. Thanks.

I basically have the same exact Explorer and none of that sounds familiar to me. The only time I've noticed the 10 speed doing anything weird is when I was running 87 octane in it and was pushing it hard on on ramps getting up to speed. With 93 octane that hunting, weird feeling goes away on mine. Aside from that it is smooth as silk. You might want to take a service tech for a ride and let them try and diagnose it.

Sounds like you are riding in a commercial aircraft..lol... Seriously though the video was too short to really get any kind of an idea of what you are experiencing... Can you make a longer video perhaps?

See what I’m saying LOL

Try unhooking your battery for 10 minutes or so. It will relearn its shift patterns and might help your stop and go issue... don't know about the other one.
