service engine light.

my 04 ex 4.6 started running rough about a week ago. the service engine light popped on and stayed on for a few days then went out and came back on. The truck runs rough (misfire) and when I took it to autozone they said I had a code for the crankshaft positioning sensor and a misfire on cyl. #8. could the misfire be causing the code for the crank sensor or vise versa? Is the crank sensor hard to replace or could it be the coil on cyl. 8?

I just finished solving my rough engine issue, my check engine light showed multiple misfires on startup and misfire on cylinder #6. I put in new coil packs yesterday and it solved my problem. Checkout my post here:

crank sensor is about 14 dollars and its not too hard on the v6. on the v8 it might be a bit more tight.
