On my '08 Explorer XLT I have several issues that seemed to developed at once. The 4x4 high won't light up so I assume it isn't engaging, but the 4x4 low works. The Traction Control Off button won't light up and the light wont come on dash. And the TPMS isn't working. There are no warning lights lit.

The ABS light came one the other day in the rain. I had the codes read at AutoZone and they said it was a wheel speed sensor probably caused by the rain. Nothing else showed up. The light went off after it dried up.

I am thinking a module may have went bad but which one...or did everything go bad at once.

I had a wheel speed sensor go bad and my abs, 4wd, traction control and RSC were all disabled and the wrench light came on... I used my scanner to watch the wheel speeds and right front never moved off of 0 mph... if you do not have a scanner you could probable use a multi-meter set to resistance and rotate each tire while probing the connectors

Thank you. Wouldn't have thought all that would have been linked to the wheel sensor going bad but makes sense once I think about it. I found a video on how to check them with a multi-meter so I'll be trying that soon.

Wheel end speed sensors can be checked using meter on AC voltage or oscilloscope. Spin wheel, look for consistency in signal. They sometimes pass the slow test though.

The 4Low light more or less is just a range position indicator.
