Important Notice
[ This message was emailed on April 23 to all registered attendees. ]
In light of some recent actions by the Coal Creek Mine and Manufacturing Company (the company that owns Windrock Mountain and the OHV Area), we are going to have to ask you to buy a permit for anyone RIDING with you at Trailfest. I know this is an added expense and it's awfully close to the event, but this new fee was news to us, too.
As of last Friday (April 16) every person on Windrock Mountain (drivers, passengers, children, EVERYONE) must have a daily or yearly permit. Coal Creek assures us this was for insurance reasons only, and not to squeeze as much money out of us as possible. I know it is last minute, but this rule goes for Trailfest participants as well. This means that when you get to the event, you will have to purchase permits for all those riding with you that do not already have them. I don't want it to be a surprise to you when you show up at registation. The permits are $10 a day or $50 a year and are only good for the person whose name is on the permit form.
I understand if some of you are not willing to pay this extra amount, and we are prepared to refund your money if you decide not to attend the event, but I hope you all still plan on joining us at Trailfest. We plan on having a good time and making your trip as enjoyable as possible. Please give this some thought and if you can't see any other option than to repeal your registration, we will happily get you a refund.

Please know that this was not our decision. We are just as much at a loss as you are.
