If you want the same reliability as the work horse OHV 4.0L iffers in stock form then dont go over .030" overbore.

This is according to Sven Pruett (Vanir Tech)

Also if you want to builda 4.0L for some power get Sven's book:
"How to build and modify Ford 60 degree V-6 engine's"

I believe you can still order it at amazon.com

Good luck!

hehe sorry, c'mon guys help me out, i needa do this motor right. so i can have peak preformance. how else can i do this w/out some good help from u guys :-D, peace

block boring

well now;
Please do yourself a big favor! Go ahead and read up on tricking out your motor. Buy books; do research online, talk to speed shops, etc.
But, when you actually get down to building up your motor; have a good machine shop sonic test your block first. Books will tell you how far other people have succesfully bored their blocks, but having your block sonic tested will tell you if there are any abnormalities in the block that might be a weak spot if you bore the block a lot. Have your machine shop clean the block, magnaflux it to check for cracks, and then sonic test it. Damn good insurance!!!!
Good luck on your rebuild!!
George
