The shift from 2nd to 3rd gear in my EX hesitates if I am driving in the city. It is okay if I do a quick acceleration. The tranny was checked and fluid/filter changed recently. The mechanic said the tranny is in very good shape, could be one of the many sensors. This occurs only between 20Km/H and 35Km/H. It is not a serious problem but annoying.
Any suggestion will be greatly welcome.

Sounds like a common issue with the 5R55E tranny , mine does this also. Sounds like you have either a dirty selenoid, blown valve body gasket or loose valve body bolts. From what ive read its fairly easy to check.Do a search for 2-3 flare and you should find some good info.

My 2000 Sport has been doing this for a year now, but it's getting more pronounced. Flaring shifts seem to be a VERY common problem on the 5R55E. To add to what Matt said, there's also a solenoid bracket that can crack and cause the solenoids to loosen.

I'm trying to nurse mine along until the weather warms up a bit.....
