shift knobs on hurst shifters?

well im going to buy a hurst shifter for my 1st gen explorer. after i buy a windsheild for my girlfriends s-10 $356 installed so it will be about a month but i was wondering this goes out to the guys or gals with a hurst shifter in their sploder do you use the pistol grip shift knob, the ball, or T-handle. i think i want the pistol but im not to sure yet which handle is better. i guess it is preference but let me know.

well acctually i guess this question can go to anyone with any different type of shift knob what is it and how does it compair with other types of knobs
