When i drive my 93 explorer with the auto tranny it will not shift through the gears properly. it would rev all the way up to 5,000 rpms and then i have to let go of the gas for it to shift. check the fluid it is full anf fairly clean. not sure the last time it was flushed. before just a couple of days ago it worked perfectly. anyone have this problem before? solutions? thanks

How many miles on it? Those symptoms on the A4LD can be the modulator, the modulator valve (tv valve), the governor, the valve body ....or something more sinister. In the majority of cases in a high mileage tranny they usually point towards a rebuild in your future.... but not EVERY time.

sounds like your servos are all whacked which sucks cause a teardown and rebuild is about $1200 can. but you can pick up a good used tranny for $200-400 in the right places.
