shimmy and shakes...

ok i just bought an 05 sport trac xlt adrenalin package. its got the 4 litre v6. when i start the truck and it sits at idle. the whole truck shakes!! i had a 10 oz beer in the cupholder an it got all shook up and tried to go everywhere! the seats even shake! i am very concerned that this may be a very serious issue... any thoughts?

sounds like a possible vacuum connection gone bad, like the engien is bucking to keep itself alive. get the battery/alternator tested, check fuel pressure, fuel pump, all that basic stuff.

also, why in the hell do you have a beer in your cupholder? not drinking and driving i hope.

no no no no drinkin an drivin. sittin there with my friends in thier driveway just listening to music and drinkin.
