Shock Replacement

I did a search and most folks seem to like the Monroe/Rancho shocks. I had a great experience with Bilstein's in my '95 Mustang.

Bilstein HDs overkill for the ST?? They are about $100 more at Shockwarehouse compared to the Monroe. This is my daily driver, so I want something that rides pretty nice.

i have edelbrock shocks and i think they are great, perform well on road and off.
if you want the softest ride though, then a monroe is probly the best bet

Monroe Reflex, they aren't as soft as the other Monroe's, and much cheaper than Bilstein's

I ran the Bilstein HD's in my ranger and they were a very good ride. On the firm side, but nice and controlled, not too stiff by any means. I got a lot of compliments from friends who rode in it saying how nice it rode with them.

stock shocks suck-they are all low pressure shocks including monroe-go online buy high pressure shocks - you put **** in you get **** out-try KYB shocks I did - best thing I did for comfort & stability

Me too. And, KYB's are lifetime guaranteed. They are self adjusting. Shocks usually last me only a few years, so with the lifetime deal, I never have to buy again!

Well...I ended up waiting last minute to do the install and couldn't wait on Bilsteins before a trip to MI I made. I went with Monroe. Yep...they are cheap and even in hand they feel nothing like Bilsteins I have had in the past, but, the truck drives really nice. I plan on getting Bilsteins for the Mustang though. I KNOW how well they work on those cars with stiffer lowering springs.

When the road is smooth, this thing rides REALLY smooth now. It didn't help over rough roads like the Bilsteins would I am sure, but it is not enough to make me change them over. Anything was an improvement over stock. I think they were the originals with 300,000 miles on them. They were doing NOTHING.
