Hey all! I'm glad I finally found this forum!

I have an 05 XLT Sport Trac with about 49k miles on it.

I'm looking to put a Class III hitch for a boat on it. I figured this was as good a time as any to upgrade off the stock shocks and tires.

Was hoping for some insight on what would be the best for my application. Truck is RWD and wont be off roading. Just pulling a boat and using boat ramps.

Thanks for your time!

Anything is better than the junk stock shocks. I used Rancho RS5000 on mine before I lifted it.

I agree with Chad, but if you are pulling a boat I wouldn't go with Reflex or RS5000's which are basically a re-branded Reflex as Monroe manufacturers Rancho.

I'd go with Bilstein Heavy Duty at least. Depending on how heavy the boat is you may need to consider Air Bags in the rear too (to avoid sag).

buy high pressure shocks on line -monroe is crap-remember you get what you pay for-try KYB shocks I love them on my truck-do your reseach for tires every person driving habit are different & where they live

welcome u got pics of ur sport trac
