shocks for lowered tracs

 Beautiful Trac silversport 03. Perfect stance IMO. Any bottoming? How much bump stop clearance front and rear?

thanks man,,, yea i bottom out,, havent really measured the clearance but it's pretty much sitting on the front ones and i'd say a couple inches in back,, i plan on getting some different bump stops for it.. was gonna go with energy suspension bump stops at all four corners,, part no.. 9.9102r

We just take a saw and trim them.lol

Either that or just remove them and go for a test drive by hitting some tall speed bumps. Use some chalk on the frame and LCA to see where you're making contact. Lift by the frame and use a long socket to remove. I was going to use the ES button stops but found out I didn't need them. If you choose to, the M8 holes will have to be enlarged to 3/8". Didn't have a right angle drill, so I left them off. My LCA clearance is only 1 1/2" and as mentioned have never touched frame.

i was thinking of trimming them down bout halfway...

trimmed em up today.. now to test it out...

the trimming helped out alot,, ended up goin with kyb monomax hevyduty shocks up front,, i like em rides even better,, now to order some for the back...

just adding my two cents. I had the KYB monomax and was still bottoming out so i changed and went with Rancho RS9000 and love them. they are def on the stiff side i notice im going into on ramps and off ramps a bit faster now but occasionally i still bottom out from the exaggerated speed bumps in my neighborhood. They are adjustable so i may be making them stiffer but after reading about cutting out the bump stops i wonder if that is a better way to go. Any body have horror stories? Or more importantly what would be the worst that could happen by removing them?

You dont wanna remove them, just trim them.if you remove them you have metal on metal banging

Remove them with a M10 socket first, and be careful where you cut. There is metal hidden underneath the rubber.

1/2" removed from bottom using a hacksaw and oil. Take your time, $20 each from the dealer if you make a mistake.
