Shocks

I have 94K on my 04ST XLT. I am wanting to get some new shocks before my OEm shocks tear up my new tires. Does any one have any suggestions for some good shocks.

Bad news for you, your OEM shocks were already shot at about 10k miles, cannot believe you went 94k, before getting new shocks. Get some Rancho RS5000, I had them before I lifted my ST.

hijack...i know the body lift wont effect the shocks, but after doing the TT and shackle should i replace my shocks? and would i need something longer/larger/etc?

RSX's on mine and like them.

Personally I put longer on the rear and added a stud to the top of my of my fronts shocks to give it more travel.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am probally going out tommorow and get me some new shocks. Any thing I need to know with changing them, other than air tools, jacks stands and a good floor jack.

Santa did not bring me a lift again this year...

Yeah, if that top nut is rusty and corroded like mine was and it is being a pain to come off. Like I did today, use a sawzall to remove it.

I've had 2 sets of Rancho's on my various 4x4's and thats what works best for me. Higher quality than many others.

I had no problems whatsoever getting my shocks off, just use some WD-40 before you start.

I had Monroe Sensa Tracs on my old '05, I thought they were fine. Originally I ordered Pro Comp ES9000's but they arrived missing a number of mounting hardware parts and one was defective right out of the box, so I got pissed off and went to Sears. Four Sensa Tracs, installed, $200.
