94 ranger
Hey guys. I used to have a 94 explorer and got rid of it for a dakota. well, im looking at a 94 ranger now. It has the 4.0 5spd. already has the manual locking hubs installed instead of those garbage automatic ones. has new exhaust, new brakes. Body is in fairly decent shape for a 94. Decent tires. The only thing im worried about is it has 162,000 on it already. He wants 2800 for it but i talked him down to 2300. Is it worth it????? i need a quick answer. i have to let him know by friday! any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thats pretty cheap for around here- especially if it is an extended cab. I think it is totally worth 2300. It should do 250K easily if it was well taken care of. The auto trannys die around its time, but since it has a manual it should be fine. If the motor runs/ sounds strong, I would do it.

motor sounds good, seems to run fine. i only drove it for 10 min or so. im only going to be using it for a daily driver. maybe once i get another vehicle then i may put i lift on it and have some fun. i cant belive how cheap a suspension lift is for these. but anyway, thanks for the info. more info would be great tho!

I agree

I guess the price is good, just make a close revision of suspension, motor, brakes, fuel system, and for your comfort all controls (outside lights, panel lights, if equipped with seat buttoms check it, control cruise, etc), i mean a general revision before you pay.
I have one with over 200k miles and stills runs trip of 1500 miles every month, only needs a basic maintenance.
good lock any way.
