Sorry DannyBoy allready sold Ranger Cab/front clip to a friend its gone, that whole project is in peices, as far as doing suspension before engine, i enjoy suspenison work more than engine swap also any steering box mods can be finished up better with engine pulled, anything can be made to run again so not to worried, I have 2 more SOHC 4.0's
---Made good progress today, and 4 some reason I thought i was doing 2in body lift, but its a 3, LOL one on my B2 was a 2in, I have 2many things going on.
I did also go ahead this afternoon and loosen body bolts, all came out except front 2, they broke off, no big deal. It is raised but nothing is bolted down looks good I think, eventually will run 35s

My Duff arms and axle, which needs paint
100_1635.jpg

New J/D coil bucket towers
100_1636.jpg

New dailey driver i bought yesterday 4 $850 with new timing belt, just needs and injector replaced, so this will slow my progress a bit cause wanna have it legal N a week or so. We just finished putting timing belt today in another identical car. Im so excited about getting 30mpg or better, instead of the damn mustang gettn 18-22? with my 100 mile round trip commute.

This is driverside frame rail, underneath side this is where Gen 1 steering box will be still need to do some torching and grinding.

Anybody have any knowledge about headers for the SOHC 4.o, like how much HP increase? price, worth the money? Pics of them. Thanx

Can't wait to see the final product! keep up the good work!

How long did it take you to do the body lift? It seems like you did it in a couple of hours!

Which T-case is that? You must have some helpers with you, cause you progress pretty damn fast!

LOL -no little helpers, I wish thoe.
Yea body was raised in under an hour, but its not bolted down or anything blocks are just in place, this is kit im making myself, so likley gonna have to go to get new longer bolts, I have some but i dont think there right thread.
--Now the other escort that got timing belt, my friend did most work he just had it in my other stall in garage, i did give moral support and help on the tougher stuff.

O-and the T-case thats my Atlas 2, it was in my Maroon Bronco, then was going to be in my 98 Ranger build, but now has the best home coming in the explorer. This is also another reason I'm doing 5spd swap, cause the T-case is setup for like Gen 1 tranny output.

Your crawl ratio is going to rock! The Black Hole is getting excited, and jealous at your rig! Hehe!

Check this link out. Read the first page and the last. If we get a few more members wanting this, the time and cost should go down.

Gman
I have plans to build something similar to that for my Ex, just getting materials together would be one of the major problems, if i do build one maybe I'll build a 2nd at same time. Also would you be interested in any of my stock front parts for spares you can pretty much have it all accept the pumpkin if you buy me lunch when u pick it up.

So what do you like to eat?:D

I am deff wanting a rear bumper / tire carrier set up, the hitch option I really need though. I have been waiting to see what the other would cost, but if you think you can do it, it would be a heck of a lot easier for me to get it home.

I can definatley do it, just takes time, probally wont be building bumpers till later this fall/winter. if you can wait that long, mine would be similar to that setup other, than Highlift jack mount, and the bumper itself will be capped and used as airtank also. Forsure have a reciever hitch.
