To make a long story short, changing plugs today I noticed the bottom of the booster was wet, but nothing underneath was, indicating it's a very minor leak. My brakes haven't gotten any weaker so should I be worried? Here's a few (cell phone) pics.

Also, what is this exactly? And what purpose does it serve? Had to fix a broken connector for it too.

Thanks in advance!

I think thats just a vacuum storage tank type thingy?
But you sure don't want leaks.

BTW I would fix that leak.

I have not had that happen in years but If I remember right you can get rebuild kits for that master cyl piston..or maybe I just bought a diff one..can't remember but I know I have had them apart before. Piston and o ring sorta deal.

your brake master cylinder's seal is beginning to leak. yes you should be concerned, yes you should replace it soon. if you start noticing your brake fluid getting low, fix it sooner rather than later. you might also want to replace the booster, as getting brake fluid inside of it isn't good for it. you can buy them as a pair and save some $. i wouldn't mess with trying to rebuild the master cylinder, as there may be additional internal wear/damage.

that ball is your vacuum reservoir. it stores vacuum so it's available for all the things that use it.

No you shouldn't worry. Yes you should get it fixed NOW before your pedal drops to the floor during an "urgent" stop and you harm yourself and others.
