Shudder/vibration when accelerating from a standstill

I have a 2002 Explorer with 100,000 miles on it. It has developed a shudder/vibration when accelerating from a standstill. It shakes a lot.
It doesn't matter if the wheels are turned or straight. Pretty much the same thing happens.
I have asked other people that have machanical knowledge far superior to mine with no resolution.

So far this is what I have had done to try to fix this issue.
I have had the power steering flushed. Didn't fix it.
I have had the rack and pinion replaced. Didn't fix it.
I had the transmission serviced. Didn't fix it.

I am now being told that it may possibly be my torque canverter.

Anybody with any similar problem?
It would be great to know what it is.

Welcome to this forum! What kind of transmission fluid do you have in it?

I believe it is called macron 5 maybe.
I know the guy that did the service on the transmission. He has had his shop for some time ( around 20 years ) now. I know he told me it was a different / special type of fluid.

Mercon V is the correct fluid to use for this transmission.

Rear diff maybe? A motor/tranny mount? Hard to say without having driven it.

My first guess would be a cracked motor or transmission mount or bracket, possibly a loose mount bolt? Do the RPM's fluctuate or do they hold steady when it shudders?

I have the same problem. I was thinking it may have been a u-joint, but I found a bad pinon bearing in the rear diff.

You could pull the rear drive shaft and try it in 4wd to see if the vibration is there without the rear being used. Help you trouble shoot it down some.
