side markers

I have a 92 eb does the marker to the side of the headlights light up? I went for an inspection and the guy charged me $12.50 for two 3157 bulbs. He said that they were for the side markers but when i put my lights on, they don't go on and I can't remember if they ever did. I know 3157 is for the turn signal and I know my turn signals worked, I think this guy ripped me off.

My 94 does'nt even have cut outs in the back of the lenses for bulbs. My side markers are just decorative. I would go back to that shop and have him point out the bulbs he replaced.
