ok im seriously thinking about gettin new exhaust for my truck, and im thinking bout side pipes lightning style, dual tips, and on the passenger side, the only problem i see is that the rear leaf spring hanger is in the way, and i dont want alot of exposed exhaust pipe, but can you post pictures of side pipe exhaust setups?

If you run the tips at a 45 you can go in front of the spring hanger. There are mufflers that have the inlet and outlet at the same end. So you just need a 135 bend at the outlet and you will have the right angle for side pipes. Those muffles are very expensive. I think Roush has some. Maybe if you find a muffler with a small enough body you could run a U bend and still stay within the frame and that would bring it far enough forward to exit at the 45. Think S shaped exaust.
Sorry I don't have any pics.

Side Exhaust is no problem for a good shop, you just need a short muffler.
Mines a 14 inch magnaflow.

You really can't compare that though. That's a 2003 sport trac, Very different from a 91 X.
But yeah a good muffler shop should be able to fab something up to work. I don't see it being very hard at all.
