Side view mirror replacement

95 limited ex. (mirrors are heated)

Cracked the stock mirror... looking for a replacement, found a local shop selling one that was heated but also had the puddle light. Will that fit on mine? Part #FO1321158

What is the stock replacement part #?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it should fit... as i remeber, all of the doors/mirrors on the second and first generation explorers were the same

Stock parts info should be:

Lamp, power, heated, w/puddle lamp
R Side: F87Z 17682 BAA
L Side: F87Z 17682 BAB

W/O Puddle lamp:
R/L Side: F5TZ 17682-3 C

These are the part numbers as listed in the Mitchell Collision Estimating Guide. Your local Ford parts department can verify this info.

There are not different part numbers for Limited vs other models so fit should not be a problem.

One more thing........

If its just the mirror thats cracked there may be $10 fix.
I was able to find aftermarket mirror glass only at Pep Boys. I'm not sure about your year but its worth a shot.

Yea, but the heated part... isn't that attached to the glass?

Also, I would think that the limited vs non-limited would be different, because the non-limited mirrors dont have the heater part, which would mean a different electrical connector.

i just replaced my d/s mirror found it for a decent price. from i i understand the puddle/light is a factory iteam.
i pay $85 including shipping.

you also may want to look on ebay? i found some used ones for really cheap like 40-60 bucks
