Happy Birthday Ssikora!!:chug:

Thanks guys....I took the day off work..so I wasn't able to check the forum. It's amazing how 1 day off can make you feel sooooo much better.

As it stands now...with the weather the way it is....I don't think people will want to stand out in the cold for a cookout. Who knows, maybe it will be 85 and sunny...you never know with michigan weather. We should think of a good backup plan now though.

Who knows about the weather! Hell, it was 60 degrees and sunny last week. Now its 20 degrees and windy. There was someone else in this thread that is from that area and said he would research other possibilities. I am still voting for a cookout though.

Eric

I am the one that knows the area, and said I would call around. Well I called just about every restaurant within a 30 mile radius, and most of them were either closed for the season, or couldn't hold us (prolly 40+ people) The Fresh Catch is in Hart, and could hold us, but I couldn't get a number for them, but I will keep trying. There is a McDonalds in Hart, that we could use for a last resort.
A cookout is still gonna be our best bet, if its raining or somthing, does anybody have one of those big canopy thingys? Hot food + Cold weather = one damn good meal, IMO.
I am going up that Friday afternoon, the 5th, so I can get all my tags and ****. I will go see if Fresh Catch is open. Who else is gonna be up Friday? We could hit the dunes Friday afternoon.
Do most of you guys have CBs? I have a cheapy that im gonna put in temp. so can communicate.

I also think that the cookout is the best bet..if it's a little cold, the grille will create enough heat. i have camped out a few weekends in the midst of winter...it's not that bad...it builds charector...lol
I was planning on running up to the dunes thursday the 4th to scope it out. if no one can go thursday, then I could maybe go after class friday. i get out of class at 1:30 so if that works..a few local people could stop by here at 2 and we could go up. I don;t really care either way.

Cookout is fine by me....PLEASE EVERYONE....RESPOND WITH WHAT YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO BRING. We need to get this started. Travis, If you could....please keep updating the chart with what people will bring for the cookout so eveyone can see...THANKS.

Everyone..please look at this form before posting.

We need everything...Potato Salad/Condiments/Buns/Chips/BBQ ITEMS!

I'm updating the chart again tonight...I'm sort of discouraged by the lack of responses we are getting...If anyone can't make it and your name is on the chart, please at least let me know you'd like to be removed. If your still going and haven;t contacted me, please do it ASAP we only have 2 weeks....I would really like to get everything nailed down by Monday, April 1st (this is not an April fooles joke either...) at the latest so we don;t have last minute confusion.

Dead Link Removed

Okay guys, Who is staying in the silver lake area Friday night? 95XLT and I will be leaving GR about 2:00 Friday afternoon, and anybody that wants to go with can join. 95XLT will be coming back Friday night, and will lead the caravan back up north Sat. morning. So if you want to go up Friday night, let us know.

We also need to seriously start thinking about our cookout. Does anybody have one of those large tent things? If we could get one of those, we could have a cookout in almost any weather. If anyone can bring anything, just send a post saying what it is, or email 95XLT. I can bring whatever FOOD ITEMS, just let me know.

I see...he's bringing steaks for 40+.....no one else has to worry about meat..we're set!:bounce:

GREAT!!! Thanks a lot Ryan..I guess I'll just bring chips then.

Hahaha you guys are funny...If I bought that many steaks I wouldn't have any money left, and couldn't get all my orv stickers and passes and such, and then I couldn't go wheelin, so then there would be no point in me going up with you guys...man that would suck...

Maybe I could just make a big ole pot of chili instead...

WOW....DID I READ THAT RIGHT????

DID SOMEONE ACTUALLY POST THAT THEY WERE GOING TO BRING SOMETHING FOR THE BBQ!!!

WOOOHOOOOO!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I could bring like hamburger and hot dog buns and whatever else extra stuff....will we have a place to put it all while we are 'wheeling though? I know those soft bunes would get crushed if they were bouncing around in the back of my truck....

I will be going up either the Thurs. or Fri. to get my tags and stickers and stuff....check it out. Maybe I'll see some of ya. I don't get outta work til 5pm so I'll be up there around 6:30 or so. Keep a look out for a black FX4 Ranger with a prerunner front bumper.......That's me.
