Hi all,

I'm curious as to whether putting silverstars in the headlights (2000 Ford Explorer Sport) would help the brightness at all? It seems like the fog lights are brighter than the headlights themselves and id like to maybe try something to get the headlights brighter.

Thanks!

welcome to the forum. As for the headlights, what kind are you running right now? The silverstars are little brighter than the stock halogens but it is not too much of a difference. I would suggest getting an HID kit (6000 is the brightest temp) or if you don't want to spend that kind of money, PIAA headlights are very very bright, unfortunately they are also pretty expensive as far as headlights go. Also you might want to replace your housings if they are very dirty which hinders light projection, or you can go to an auto parts store and get the headlight rejuvinator cleaner to try to get some more light to pass through.

many people have had good luck with silverstar ultras...

Right now it still has the stock ones that came from Ford, the housings don't look to faded, but ill go look at em again. thanks for the quick replies

if the housings look good i would go for a good set of piaas, or as stated about, the silverstar ultras. IMO the piaa's are the best you can get without a HID kit though. Good luck with everything

I have Silverstars in all my vehicles, the difference is noticable.

They did come out with new and improved versions since I bought mine, not sure how improved they are.
