but inquiring minds do wonder...
so i have blue LED lights in my car, and they are controlled by a remote. my boy and i ran an errand last night and i'm 99% sure that when i got out of the car i didn't step on the remote and turn on the lights or anything... but when we went back out there the lights were on...
i also have a phone charger plugged into one of my cigarette lighters because it makes a red light at night and makes it *look* like i have an alarm, and i also left my ipod plugged in and charging...
when i went back to my car, the ipod was still charging, red light was on, and all blue lights were on... the car wouldn't start, but it would make a loud clicking noise when we turned the key, as if the battery was dead, but not DEAD... i tried to turn the blue lights back on, and they wouldn't turn on. then we noticed the red light wasn't on either... we decided to take the boy's car instead, and we shut the doors on the explorer... then the dome light popped on. i got curious, so i got back in my car and unplugged everything, and then the car started right up.
SO NOW COMES THE QUESTION... do explorers have some kind of preventative safety feature that keeps your battery from dying? what the heck happened? why didn't any of the lights work, but then the dome light popped right on?
edit: the boy said the blue lights also came back on when he shut his door... i had my back turned so i didn't notice those... AND i forgot to mention, when we got the car started up (it started up fine, as if nothing had ever happened) the radio had been reset, as if the battery was disconnected.
