Thanks Alec. I am going to home depot tomorrow and have this thing up by weekend. Have pics up too! Had my MRI done today and was that a loud machine. I hope I do not have to do that again. Ears still ringing.
i got a 4'x3' 3/16 diamond plate from a welding shop for $50. u can try there. i think u can get it cheaper. check it ou.. it is at the very last few pics u see my skid plate.
I went today and priced a 4x4 sheet of diamond plate at Lowes and it was 38.00. And I figure with the bolts and washers and nuts, it will run in the neighborhood of 50.00 total. I was not sure of the material and sizes until now. So I was right in what I was looking at today. I will be going back tomorrow and getting it all and hopefully have it all done by this weekend. I managed to paint my front grille and install 2 new fire extinguishers in the back on the rear A-pillars by the back hatch interior. It looked awesome there. And Also bought new front and rear swaybar bushings today and I will be installing those this week too. So I have my hands full this week. There is a show in Austin and hopefully I will have it ready by next Thursday to enter on Friday and Saturday. The prize is a $3000.00 check. Then after that I will be making a new front Baja Bar for the front, with new lights. And my wife already ordered a new Safari Rack for the roof and a set of 6" lights for that for my Birthday. So I will have that by next week just in time for the show.
