Skid plates

Hi folks!

I am going to start using my stock '99 Explorer for some more serious adventures.
What do you recommend when it comes to skid plates? Which parts underneath are in most "danger"?

Anyone who have drawings of home made (or factory) skid plates?

Front skid plate for the radiator, Gas tank Skid, some make a transfer case skid as well.

There are factory front and gas tank skids. From what I've heard the front really isn't too strong, but the factory gas tank skid is pretty good, at least the metal version of it.

Here is the front skid I made, along with the bumper. (Notice the receiver hitch for a front tow point. There really is not easy recovery point on the front of thses trucks unless you put hooks or a hitch up there.)
