I have a 2004 XLT V6 w/o traction control and I've been noticing at times a slight vibration when accelerating from a stop most often while turning. I haven't seen anything in the forums that really tells me the problem. I would appreciate the help as we love our vehicle and want to keep her road worthy.

hey dude, im also having vibration problems on my 02 explorer xlt. exact problem as your one. you can only feel mine under light acceleration and when turning too.
ive had that vibration since i bought the truck which was only 4 months ago lol. so preety new too me and on top of that im having some rattling problems too lol.
any ways, what ive heard is that it could be the rear diff axle or could well be the rear bearings. but to me i think its the diff :)

Same problem on my 2004 XLT. Vibrations and whining noises while accelerating while turning at very low speeds or dead stops. I have heard everything from Replacing the wheel bearings Front/Rear, to Wheel hubs, to the brake calipers sticking, to a front end alignment. I've had the front end aligned and it still makes the noise. I would love a definant answer so I can fix the problem.
