2006 Explorer EB 4.0 Liter 4x4:
Hello all!! I am having a problem when I first accelerate. With the accelerator to the floor it goes about 5 MPH and then 5 seconds later it kicks in and goes. When I am going 60MPH and try to accelerate it starts jerking like I am going to drop my transmission. But if I maintain a steady acceleration at 60MPH everything is fine.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I was thinking maybe a new throttle body or maybe a transmission flush would solve the problem...
Scratch all the above I think I found my answer: This morning it would not reverse...I put it in reverse it made a clunk sound and then would not back up. I may need a new transmission.
