Slower starts, voltage gauge

Koda and JC, great advice on the car batteries, and I just so happen to shop for a group 65 battery myself this past weekend. Costco's Warehouse if you are a member, has batteries by Interstate and the Group 65 with a CCA rate of 850 and a 3 year replacement and 2 year pro-rate goes for $93. I'm up in the Northeast so prices may vary. I often find that Advance Auto almost always have at least a 30% or 40% off coupon codes on Retail-Me-Not website which is even better than the regular discount 20% which is often advertised online. It seams to me car batteries do die quicker than the good old days and only good for about 5 years like Koda stated.

I think batteries die quicker these days because of under hood heat. Under hood temps are much higher than they used to be. Plus there is very little room in today's engine compartments for good air flow and engines run hotter.
