Smaller tires??? Suggestions please

I am looking at running a smaller diameter tire more for handling as I don't really need any more clearance. What would be an optimal size for the smallest tire I can fit? I am looking for less flex and good grip. I don't care about how rough it might make my ride as it already rides like a truck, short wheel base ya know. I do a lot of high speed driving on back roads and want a little more stability. I don't want to lower the truck anymore than it already is, about an inch less than stock. Just wanted to see what ya'll think.:scratch:

Get a larger rim diameter so you will end up with a tire with a shorter side wall, which will be more responsive. You can keep the same overall height, but have a more responsive feel.

Sorry I can't help you with exact sizes. You can find interchange charts on many of the tire companies websites. Discount Tires probably has it available on their site.
