has anyone done a smog check with the kkm true rev air filter installed? do exhaust leaks have anything to do with smog checks?

an exhuast leak will effect emissions... the kkm is not carb/smog legal..... some places dont care and will test it anyways... some places will fail you on the spot for modified anything

And you are in CA which has adopted some new test procedures which are some of the toughest in the country, if not the toughest. You may want to get on the Ca air resources board website. You can find all the rules and test procedures there, so you can find out if you can get tested.

heh my dad just did the smog check for me and he said the guy just did it...didnt look under the hood or hear the exhaust leak :)

Don't dare tell what shop did that test in CA, that would be a major license violation. They sign off on a physical inspection as well as everything else they do. Good for you, but be quiet!

sure it wasnt a pretest? law requires that no one be allowed within 25 feet of the dyno when a car is on it... and htey must open the hood and check timing and do the physical check to make sure you dont have illegal stuff under there... the kkm is not smog legal....

but the k&n intake is legal, i think...

Most smog stations are run by non-english speaking aliens, they have not a clue, take your CARB cert and be happy

The K&N filter element is legal, but the cold air intake has to have a California Air Resources Board exemption number.
