Did anyone in CA with a SOHC engine and a K&N drop-in filter have any problem passing the CA smog check? I'm interested in both visual and the test itself. Thanks.

It was no problem for me. I have the drop in and the bottom of the airbox is swiss cheese with all the holes I drilled. I even have the K&N sticker on the top of my airbox, and they never mentioned anything about it to me. Of course, I didn't specifically ask about it, but I believe it is smog legal anyhow.

The KNs are smog legal. KKMs aren't, but you just put a KN sticker on there and they don't know the difference :)

I had mine done this year and nothing was mentioned. I even had the K&N sticker on the top of the air box. I passed with flying colors.

I have a KKM and the guy did notice it but let it slide. As far as emissions, I passed with flying colors.
