I love my explorer, but i cant fit my whole family in it. So one of my other vehicles is an 86 chevy G20 conversion van.
It's a great van, until yesterday... 25 degrees outside- I started it up, let it warm up for about 3 minutes and started backing out of the driveway, when thick smoke started pouring out of the vents!. I turned the engine off and popped the hood.....nothing. The smoke smelled like wood/leaves burning. And yes I had the heater on high. I restarted it after about 15 minutes, and it cleared up. fortanitly the van didnt blow up or char it self to deat. Unfortanitly my van smells like i lit a camp fire in it. I rebuilt the carb over last weekend, and drove it fine since then.
Could this just be a case of leaves or something burning against the blower moter or something else?? Any ideas will be very appreciated before i takle it.
Thanks
