So I got the Diff replaced

Wow what a difference. The replaced both gears, the bearings, fluid and some other minor parts. Apparently there's a kit for the noise issue. MUCH quieter. It was like driving a different car.

I had the same thing done ~20,000 miles ago. I agree, and it is been fine ever since!
 






wait the entire differential (with housing) or just some of the internals?
oh and how much did you pay for the entire thing (labor & parts)?
 






would this be covered under warrenty? Ive got the same isue but they keep trying to tell me its the tires but the tire shop says they are fine.

if its not, you can always do it yourself .. it took me about a day. the forum has great writeups and pics of the process.
 






So, what would a guy expect to spend at a dealership to get this repaired? I have a 2002 that has the problem, and I dont know if I should live with it or fix it.

No clue. Mine was a warranty repair. The had about 1/2 day in it.
