So I've found a injector cleaner???

So i've been have that nasty pinging for sometime now and its really starting to tick me off, the only thing i havent done is the seafoam in the lines. Anyways 87 octan gas makes it the worst so i try and run 89 now and it helps a little but not enough. I've tried octane booster and run 89 at the same time and that got rid of it perfect but i dont like to put the booster in there. because i heard that x's are suppose to run only 87 and it can burn my cat converters and thats the last thing i need since i just replace them. So today I found some of Lucus fuel injector cleaner and mix it with 89 gas and i havent heard a single ping, My question is this. Is it ok to put this in my truck every fill up without messing anything up or should i put this in here everynow and then???

its fine to use it as often as you want, but that get quite expensive...... i would run seafoam and see if that helps, it should help out drastically, also a tuneup would be advised as well

You talk about X's supposed to be using 87, then wanna use 89 with injector cleaner? How much do you think the octane booster brought it up to? One point is .1 octane. You may be fine just running 89 with no additive and running Seafoam through the TB line once.

Well i already got it tuned- up like a week ago which i needed one real bad. and running just 89 doesnt help any at all, Where do i get seafoam from????

Most autoparts stores have it. Napa, Schucks and Autozone do for sure.

There's a line under the throttle body. Buy a foot of that sized pipe and feed it through there.
