Yes, it will throw and ARC light on the dash board and will probably render it useless.

From what ive read, you cant do a TT on your air ride system.......

Wheres Winter Park?? IF ya ever need help lifting it or what not, i might be able to help ya, if ya dotn lifve to far away...

PEACE

I don't think it should because the here at the local Ford dealer, I know they adjust the torsion bars when a vehicle comes in for a comprehensive service.. I remember when I took my truck in for a recall, they had something mentioning adjusting torsion bars.

i don't understand what that means? "it will throw"?

if anyone could clerify, please do :(

edit: that face isn't supposed to look so sad :p

i think he meant "it will throw an ARC light..."

just means the light will come on for the ARC system on the dash indicating something is wrong.

don't know if it will be a false light though, i have no expereince with it

maybe somebody else will chime in soon

Yes. You will be moving your shocks out of there normal ride height. The system won't be able to work correctly, if at all, that way.

you could rig the arc system to lift your truck like AK LTD Explorer or you can just do it and disconnect the air ride system and replace the shocks with regular/non-airride shocks

This is the way to go, if you want to lift get rid of the ARC.

I explained it in the other thread you've made about this topic. There was no need to make another.

Besides, what if it does lift it two more inches in 4X4 mode. What will that do to help on the trail? Go for something more permanet. Besides, what happens when those air shocks fail and it comes down and set the body on the tires. You're stuck and screwed.

Lifting it using the ARC is not a dependable way to do it. Save up some more and get some decent shocks(already was discussed in that thread) and get rid of the air shocks.

i'm sorry to "double post", but before i was asking more "what SHOULD i do", and this time, i was wondering if for a temporary solution (basically, until i have more money) if i could keep the current air ride, but work around it until later. i have my answer though, and thanks to all who helped.
