- 1999 Ford Explorer Sport
This weekend I converted my 99 explorer sport to SOA in the rear. I kept the stock monoleaf and built 1in drop shackles to reduce the amount of lift generated from the SOA conversion. I knew it was a possibility after doing this conversion that my drive shaft would be too short and cause problems. I ordered a 11/16 drive shaft spacer today that will hopefully take care of this. The front has settled some since I adjusted the torsion bars. Will tighten them up a little more tonight when I check the torque on the u-bolts. Here's pictures of before and after the lift.
