soft top

i really want a chop topped x but i want to drive it in the rain. so i was thinking of cutting from the drivers door back. with the bottom cut at the lower part of the back window. so i would do a full roll cage and have a soft top made for bad weather. i aslo am thinking of doin removable doors. so and thoughs are needed

a friend of mine made a soft top with his K5, he made a cage that framed the top and fitted the top to it

just remember that a custom made soft top will NOT be cheap. But it would be sweet.

If you do it, do a write up... I know there are alot of descrips of people doin chop tops on here, but people have different ways of doing things.

I plan on chopping the top on mine if anything major were to ever happen to it cosmetically. (the sawzall is waiting patiently)

i was looking a it and was thinking of a full cage and using some type of fastner to connect to the cage and to the remander of the body.
