SOHC Intake Cover

None of those are mine. 1997 Limited Edition XLT SOHC. Those are so big I feel like they might hit the belt.

Ditto above. 1997 "Limited Edition" engine configuration and layout should be no different from other trim levels. I'm beginning to believe the cover was previously modified. Do you have an aftermarket open air intake or a throttle body spacer? If you have a 4.0L OHV push rod instead of the SOHC, this confusion could have easily been prevented. If it's the original engine what is the VIN? As we've requested, please post pics of the damaged engine cover and engine from different angles. I'm losing sleep over this!

this one looks like the cover on my '97 SOHC. it looks pretty much the same as swshawaii's links. it also looks the same as the cover that was on my '01 SOHC. dumb question, but are you sure you don't have the OHV engine? can you post a link to a photo of your cracked cover? the fact that your truck is a Limited shouldn't make any difference.

Apologies for the late reply my truck gets parked litterally a mile from where I am. It is the the one in that link. The tubes on the side were throwing me off I guess.

That's a part I'd never order new. Plenty of them in good condition in the salvage yards and on ebay. It's not like it does anything, but I get it, it's supposed to be there.

Yeah some the ones on eBay are crazy expensive too though 10 bucks more for brand new? Not sure what to think. But I agree. I think I'll end up doing eBay.

I'm at the JY once in a blue moon but the next time I am there I think I might pull some of these off wrecked out 4.0's. Seem like there might be a small market for them!!

There definately is! The ones at my junkyards always seem to get crushed. Flood the market with um!
