How do I tell if I have the SOHC or the EFI version of the 2nd gen v6 4.0L? Let me know how I can tell.

NVM just checked it and it is a SOHC 4.0L Sorry about this...

Both engines are EFI.

One is OHV (Over Head Valve) SOHC (Single Over Head Cam). The easiest way to tell is from the VIN.
 






i have vin x it is 4.0 ohv it kick ass with 5-speed automatic with 4x4auto 4x4high 4x4low with 3:73lsd posi rear
