I agree, go with the V8! My bro has a V8 EB and that thing really hauls! He almost got the SOHC (which I thought was really nice), but it seemed the V8 had the edge on torque. One just can't beat displacement, it all comes down to dimensions and physics.
Now I wish I had a V8...
