Finally made a video on this subject that has been neglected for too long. Many feel trans repair is out of their league but some things are too common and predictable this is one of them, and this is how to change it yourself. A future video will be coming on how to diagnose this pack and common issue associated with the solenoids failure. In the meantime here you go.

Do you have a video on doing the upgrade to the shift plunger (or something like that) for the 5R555S?
I understand that's a common repair on these due to some extreme angle on the plunger or whatever it's called.

No I don't have a video on that. I believe you are talking about the servo bores that get wore out for the overdrive and intermediate servos. I did one of those a year ago and man was that a process! I felt like a machinist/engineer and would never recommend anyone try that on your own. I was even a little uneasy, it came out perfect but still you need a special drill and everything. It is better if you have that issue and you feel comfortable pulling your trans and rebuilding it fine but when it comes to that point of re sleeving the case I would take just the case to a trans shop or a ford dealer that has the new kit from ford to sleeve it right
