i need someone in the area to help out finishing my solid axle swap, mostly need someone to help with setting caster, camber and someone who can weld. i need the coil buckets, trac bar mount, and shock hoops welded. as of now coil buckets are bolted to the frame right now, its all together but needs to be finished. and its been sitting for way to long,

let me know when and if you would wanna do it at my place or tow it to yours? i have 220 wired up for the stick welder but dont have an extension cord long enough to reach where the truck is. and as of now it cant really be moved.

jpistheman@live.com, when where and how much and lets get this truck back on the trail!!!

Josh S. is a superstar. PM him.

Buy or make a 220v extension cord.

What axle are you using? what parts do you already have? And what kind of budget are you working with? Can the rig be loaded on a trailer?

Not intrested in Ghetto fab... but might be able to steer you in the right direction. Let me know what your thinking, we are going to re-do the front of Forrests truck and he would make you a good deal on the hole setup?

yeah. it could be loaded onto a flat bed. and im not interested in ghetto fab either. i just had to move the truck from where it was so the buckets are just bolted for now.

right now i have a complete full width 44 and 9 inch, im looking for gears and lockers, i already have brand new hubs, full rebuild kits for the front and back, 5.5 wild horse springs, and all new front end bushing, ect..

Not to take anything from Josh but Kevin is a lot closer and as of tomorrow, he's retired from the Navy and has nothing to do but search for a job.

Josh is a Bad Ass Fab'er  top shelf work.

anyone? i really need my truck done and have the money to finish it now..

thanks

Kevin is your guy, he lives close to you and he knows exploders inside and out. If you want to load it up and haul it to my place, (BFE tenino) then Im sure we could work something out, I have an empty bay in my shop right now.

not to hijack your thread but you have the kinda sea green navajo or sport dont you, i think i came and looked at it, when it was for sale a while back, anyways if it is you good to see you doing somthing with it. get her on the road and we'll have to head out and wheel:smoke: hijack off

yeah, kevin said he would call me so im wating on that.

nope.. not my explorer. its green. but a 4 door. and hasnt been for sale.

but im down to wheel as soon as i get it finished.. lol

Good deal, I know he's been busy trying to find a civilian job. Hope you can toss him some dough for working on your rig.

Hey J, sorry I haven't contacted you yet. Just when I think I have time something else pops up. I am trying to leave next week open (9/20-9/24). What does your schedule look like then?

Do you have a welder or do I need to bring mine? If your going with a radius arm desgn, your kinda limited on your caster as it's kinda fixed by the radius arms and mounts. The only adjustments are going to be in your C-bushings and I can tell you right now with any kind of a lift your gonna want to get the 7 degree c-bushings.

Bolted coil buckets are usually strong enough, but yes welding also adds that little bit of extra peace of mind. We'll get you hooked up.

i have two grade 8s on each side and i dont like it. i have a small mig here, and a large arc welder. just got to get an extention cord for 220.

and need to find a good deal on gears and lockers.

i will try to leave the 20th-24th open as well!

and of course i will pay kevin to help me.

explorer is ridin the trailer to Kevin's house Monday! will be done soon hopefully!

Oct 15-16-17 will be here sooner than you think and you are now required to attend the next Naches trip. :D:roll:
