I've read the sticky on replacing the upper ball joint. Great and informative. Is this something I can do for the rear upper ball joints? Also, I can only find ball joint info and parts for the front - would I just use that for to replace the rear ones?
I've also messed up the dust boots on the rear toe links and upper ball joints. Has anyone found acceptable replacements? I did find some universal ones at Energy Suspension, but I'm partial to "OEM" replacements over universal ones.
Lastly, regarding the rear hub bearing. Every post I've seen says that I need to press these out with a 20 ton press. This seems a bit overkill. Can a 6 or maybe 12 ton variety (harbor freight) work or are these too small. I figure at $40 labor charge for each bearing pressed, that I would break even by buying a press. Granted I could buy one and try it out -if it doesn't work I could take it back but I'm thinking these weigh a good bit and require a good deal of assembly.
Thanks in advance
