First off, if you have an Explorer, you have come the the right place. The knowledge base on here is incredible and people are very willing to help. Ok you may be a newbie but that's ok, we all were or are, depending on the system.
As I have participated on this board, several things have become apparent. Some people come here, DO NOTHING to help themselves by reading and researching, and simply cry "HELP". A particular peeve of mine is the "OMG my check engine light is on, what's WRONG?" There are a zillion codes ... get it read!
There is a search feature on this site. use it. Try and educate yourself. If that doesn't do it, post your question, but give us as MUCH info as you can. Nothing is more frustrating than to be trying to diagnose a problem on the net, only to later find a key factoid was left out.
Believe me, everyone here wants to help one another. I mean we all love our Ex's (EXPLORERS !! not ex spouses!) and love sharing what we've learned - but... do your part too. Help us help you.
Oh, AND, when you get the problem solved, using our advice or otherwise, come back and explain what the problem was and how you got it fixed. THAT helps everyone, even the "helpers".
Happy Exploring
Chris
ps. I repeat - If you have a Check Engine light, get the code read and tell us the exact code. Not what some bozo told you it meant. deal ?
