So, what all do you think would look good on it?
I might be able to get some better quality pictures, but i was using a disposable camera. Go figure. And then I messed around with it on my PC. I was thinking for starters, blackouts and black fender flares, because I think black looks good on that light color.

Is that a Mark Martin #6 license plate on the front? I am a huge fan of his.

honestly I dont think black outs look very good at all. Of course if that is what you like I say go for it. Slap a billet grill up front and you will be alot happier with that look as opposed to black outs. Just my 2 cents :bounce:

I would change those rims first of all. I personally don't like them. Since it's all wheel drive I would make it a sport truck. It would be great to run on a wet road. Kinda like traction control.

AgExplorer, yeah that is a 6 plate up front :D

Brian, I looked into it and I dont think I can put a billet in on that grille because of those posts, but if I swap it out with another Limited grille or even another model grille I should be able to. But yeah, I think a billet would look nice. Should I leave it brushed, painted to match, or painted black?

James, I dont like them rims very much either, I like the newer Limited rims ALOT better, but otherwise I dont know what else would look good for rims, any suggestions?

rims

If you would like a cool way to look at rims for your Explorer, or any vehicle, try going to www.discounttiredirect.com . Check out the "interactive wheel system", which requires Shockwave, which you can d/l for free directly from discount tires. I'm not trying to say to buy rims/tires here, but it's a cool place to see what different rims and sizes would look like on your ride. Hope this helps!!! Oh yeah, once at discount tire's site, click on "wheels" then you can goto the interactive wheel system.

Hey, that was a pretty good website, how its all organized like that, but there isnt very many for Explorers. I think I got a lowrider magazine or something that has rims in it. But thanks for the suggestion!

Wait a minute, I thought all Limited edition explorers came with a standard V8. And AWD. With air shocks. How did you get a V6.

Well, we got this one used, but if I had my way it'd have a SOHC engine, AWD, all the power mods. But this one is 4x4, OHV V-6, air shocks, the air lift deal. But I just cant find some actual regular shocks, I want some better ones.

Instead of Black out I would do some thing like Jornum1 light covers. And since you have a 4x4 Lift it... I know are in the sport truck forum but hey I think your Limited would look really sweet with 32s or 33s.

Just my Opinion...

Yeah but can you lift a Limited? Mine has air suspension or whatever that is and it always raises up and down.

I am sure you could lift it. The Air ride system More than likely be disabled or replaced with a better system.

It would seam harder to lower with the Air ride system. I am sure you could at lease do the torsion bar twist and Add a leaf in the rear.

How do you do a torsion twist? And what does that do?

I am not sure how to do it my self (I own a 92) but you could do a search to find out how it is done. I have heard you can get as much as 2" lift with it.
