i think my two probs are unrealated but im not sure how to go about fixing either one... first... after i hit around 2500 to 3000 rpm my oil pressure gauge bottoms out saying i have 0 oil pressure once my rpms go back down it goes back up to normal... second i have this metal on metal clinking noise comming from what seems to be the top of the motor and it has been doing it for several months and hasnt effected me but its pretty embarrasing and i would like to know how to fix it

For the metal on metal sound -- remove the serpentine belt and run the truck for a minute. If the sound goes away, its one of the engine accessory (pulleys, steering pump, A/C pump, etc...). If it doesnt go away, its something with the engine.
 






i actual just replaced the sermentine belt and it did it with the new one and old one and with it on and off
 






Oh oh...It sounds like you have oil pump issues. I would stick a manual gauge to the motor itself. See if the oil pressure changes any like the gauge in the dash.
 






so the oil pressure thing just randomly stopped on its own... but the noise around the engine area is still as annoying as ever
