Ive been searching for my ticking/vibration for a while now, and Ive just go done scoping the motor. Everything seemed OK untilI scoped a plug wire on the passenger side bank. I hear a clinking / knocking noise. I moved in closer and scoped the plug boot and the same noise is present. This did not occur on any other cylinders. I then had someone rev me up first to 1500 then 2000, and the noise gets faster, and theres a slight miss at those RPMs. Im still hoping that this is a rocker/lifter/pushrod problem.

Any suggestions are helpful to me

Thanks!

Btw...Im hoping this isn't rod knock or wrist pin wear. Ive been driving it like this for a while. The oil level is good and the only known leak is the rear main.

are the plugs and wires new? or have you checked for broken or cracked wires? i would say spark knock.... since it "misses" at higher rpms i would sugguest the plug wires, plugs, and coil pack in that order. hope this points ya in the right direction..

Possibly a cracked spark plug or an exhaust leak?

Looks like the ticking noise was a loose plug. Middle cylinder on the passenger side bank. I could wiggle it with my hand.

thanks
