About a week ago my mom's car was stolen from her work place. She works the grave yard shift and in a building where there is no one around in a very remote area known as Fort Langley in B.C

Now her car was declared a total loss because they broke her steering column and put something in the gas tank and ripped up the stereo with speakers.

She had no way to go to work now so I was going to be a good son and let her borrow White Fang, my 96X XLT. My pride and joy.

I get a phone call around 5 AM and she tells me someone tried to break into the truck. The key hole on the front driver side was punched out and the most rear left side window was broken.

She looked inside to see if anything was missing but everything was still there. My brothers birthday gifts (May 19th is his Bday which is the day it happend.)
My leather jacket was there, my $100 shades my portable MP3 player, everything. I am still so pissed off beyond belief. And if catch that son of a B$^ch he won't have much time left to experience man hood.

Anyways I'll probobly never find him anyways so heres the question. My mom said she didn't hear my alarm but then again there are very loud noises in the building where she is so she said she could have missed it. I am wondering if my Alarm didn't go off, or is it not that sensative. Also I am looking into a better alarm, I have heard of one that warns people when they get to close to the truck. That sounds like something I would like. If anyone has any suggestions on what alarm systems I should look at that would be great.

I guess moving to California doesn't look so bad now a days. Since they named my area the car theft capital of North America.

Thanks :)

Sounds like you need to go to work with your mom and have a stakeout.

Now you just need to find another car.

Depends on how much $$$$ you want to spend. Some alarms have pagers that will beep you when the alarm is triggered, or if someone tries to start the car, a door is opened, etc. They range you can get cheapos, or very good alarms that can run about $400-$600. Compustar alarms are pretty good, but they are also expensive and not easy to install.

Hey bro that is a bummer man i hate theft's ,

That one thing that i fear is some body stealing my baby's.

I just purchased the clarion ungo ms2007 alarm which has a 2 way fm remote. It tell's you if some body is messing with your car opened the hood opend the door or set the shock sensor off. I don't have it installed because i have not gotten it yet. I got it off ebay for 200 buck brand new they retail at 450 buck. here are some links with some great alarms that have the 2 way fm pageing.

clarion ungo ms2007

Cliford maxtrix

The 2 way paging that viper offers is the same as the clifford one sence viper and clifford are partners know.

They are a couple more brand but i think the ungo or the maxtrix are the best from study and from what i have been told.

Hope that help

Im no expert but it sounds like they broke your back window to set the alarm off and some alarms don't reset themselfs so they probably just came back and tried to get in but your alarm reset itself IMO. And if they gentle break the back door glass the alarm won't go off unless you have senser on it I learned that the hard way.

Sounds like your alarm did what it supposed to do and scared them off before they got your stuff. Probably you wont leave anything in your veh. in that lot again.
I dont know about you but when I hear an alarm I usually think the owner set it off by mistake and dont go looking for a theif.
